The Abbotsford Convent, located at St Helier’s St, Abbotsford, sits on a bend of the Yarra River near Yarra Bend Park. Over the last decade, the Convent, owned and operated by the Abbotsford Convent Foundation (ACF), has become a very popular centre for cultural, artistic and learning-based activities.
In late 2015, the ACF embarked on the refurbishment of the Convent’s Sacred Heart building and surrounds. This exciting heritage project has the financial support of the Dara Foundation, the Federal Government’s Stronger Regions Fund and the ACF.
Our Project Director and Senior Project Manager were engaged for the establishment and procurement phases, reporting directly to a client team comprising the Convent’s CEO, Chief Financial Officer and Building Manager.
In addition to providing governance services, Accuraco was engaged to provide the following front-end services for the ACF;
The briefing and procurement of the Consultant Project Team (Lead Design team and Quantity Surveyor), Project scheduling, Scope, Cost and Value Management exercises, Project Planning and Risk management, Stakeholder Communication and Ideas Workshops, Milestone validation to Federal Government and Project Control Group and ACF Board reporting.
