We were engaged by Parks Victoria to deliver a program of works responding to the damaged walking trail network from floods in the Grampians National Park.

The Silverband Falls walking track was a family friendly and pram accessible walking track located a short distance from Halls Gap. The walking track was completely washed away by the flood and had to be fully re-designed and rebuilt for its entire length.

We worked closely with the Park Rangers, walking track contractors and other project stakeholders to design a new alignment for the walking track and reinstated the family friendly walking track to the base of Silverband Falls.

The construction works utilised small excavators and powered wheelbarrows to reconstruct the track sub base from locally sourced materials.

Particular care was given to installing new water bars and drainage channels to reduce the on-going maintenance requirements for the Park Rangers. We relish this type of work where we apply our knowledge, IP and processes to deliver within these unusual parameters, working closely with Parks Victoria stakeholders.

We provided Parks Victoria procurement, delivery and reporting expertise meeting the insurance and government requirements.
