We were engaged by Melbourne City Council to manage this significant and high profile civic project.

Our role included contractor procurement, installation, commissioning and removal monitoring across multiple sites in the CBD, Docklands, Carlton, Kensington and North Melbourne.

The Christmas Lights and Decoration 2013 Program was based entirely on the re-using of existing decorations, with only minor changes in the form of banner content and changes to the layout of Christmas Square.

One key element of this project was the time critical component of a 3-week installation period as all decorations and light displays were required to be installed and operational prior to opening night. The project also included the removal phase took place after New Year’s Eve. The project involved extensive scheduling and required us to lead a substantial operational and procurement model to ensure all project deadlines were met.

Cooperation and liaison with external stakeholders, such as Yarra Trams, nominated laneway and precinct retailers and Metro Trains was an important aspect of the project.
