In response to population growth both Victoria Police and the State Emergency Services committed to the development of a new co-located facility in Waurn Ponds. Accuraco as the Project Manager was engaged to manage the design, town planning, tendering and construction phases of this new Complex reporting to representatives at both Victoria Police and SES.

As part of the town planning process and application, detailed investigations and studies were required to respond to flora and fauna, cultural heritage, traffic, adjoining residential precincts and a Public Acquisition Overlay.

The design of the facility included a two level 24-hour Police Station of 2,200sqm to accommodate up to 100 staff with a Watch House, Custody, Uniform Branch and Highway Patrol functions, while the SES facility is some 636sqm in a single level with a Motor Room for the storage of vehicles and boats, offices, an operations room, training facilities and other amenities, including a 20m high communications tower.
